Grain Commodity Futures Friday Update
There has been some volatility in the grain markets this week. Volatility is good for some quick profits but can be costly if you’re not careful.
Chicago wheat futures are very volatile right now and made a good drop like I expected. The support level is still a good move down. Volatility could pick up if wheat starts a down trend.
Corn futures dropped quite a bit and hit support. They could make a bounce up. Watch the support for any breakthrough.
Oat futures made a good drop and have hit resistance. I expect oats to move up again, but keep your stops placed.
Soybean futures also dropped and hit support but could move down again. Just keep your stops placed.
Rough rice futures dropped some but I would stick with the trend for now and keep your stops.
December wheat closed today at 890.0, down 49¢ for the week.
December corn closed today at 342.2, down 30.8¢ for the week.
December oats closed today at 273.0, down 16.6¢ for the week.
November soybeans closed today at 940.4, down 50.8¢ for the week.
November rough rice closed today at 11.550, down .180¢ for the week.
